Corset Q & A Series

Corset Q&A Episode 75: How Do I Put My Corset On Correctly?

Hey y’all! This week Cheri and Rachel are talking about how to properly put on a corset. First of all, always COMPLETELY loosen the laces your corset when you are putting it on. It makes fastening it easier and if you fasten only one pin and it is under pressure (because you haven’t fully loosened it) you risk bending the pin.

One of the more confusing parts of corseting is figuring out which part of the corset goes up! Some of our corsets look very similar right side up and upside down, the CS 305 and CS 411 come to mind immediately, and it can be a bit confusing and tricky as to which way is up and which way is down. The pins are always going to be on the left and the loops on the right for any of our corsets. Another way you can tell if you have your corset on right is by looking at the back laces and seeing where the knot is placed. The knotted lace should be at the bottom of the corset and if it is at the top, you have it upside down.

There you have it! If you need any additional help with how to put your corset on, be sure to contact one of our customer service team members at Orchard Corset!
