Corset Q & A 71: What is the difference between the CS 426 and CS 426 w/ hip ties?

If you’ve ever  wondered what the hip ties are for on our CS 426 Hip Tie corsets, you question is about to be answered! In our Corset Q & A series we’ll be giving you quick answers to some of the most common questions we get regarding steel boned corsets, waist training and corseting here at Orchard Corset.

This week Brittney and Julie are discussing the difference between the regular CS-426 and the CS-426 with hip ties. What is the difference? Let’s find out!

The CS-426 corset is our curviest corset and with the right amount of natural curve, can be the best corset for our customers with a larger hip spring. The CS-426 has a hip spring of 12″ and is able to accommodate our customers with wider hips. There are instances, though, where someone needs even more room at their upper hip and the 12″ hip spring just isn’t enough. That’s where the CS-426 with hip ties comes in! The CS-426 with hip ties allows the hip spring to open up 8″ additional inches and can accommodate an even larger hip spring, which is exciting! Aside from the upper hip exceeding the 12″ hip spring, why would someone need the hip ties? Wearing a corset that is not able to accommodate the hip spring can pinch the hips and cause discomfort, which is never good because you should never experience pain while corseting!

Be sure to let us know in the comments if you’ve got a question that you’d like us to answer in a future Corset Q & A!
