Do you have a question about steel boned corsets, waist training or corseting? The answer is probably somewhere in our Corset Q & A series.
Should I Wait to Order My Corset Until I Hit My Goal Weight?
Welcome to the new year and new goals! One of the most popular goals for Americans is weight loss and adding in regular exercise. So a common question for our Customer Service and on Social Media, is, “Should I wait until I hit my goal weight before ordering a corset?” As Renee says in the video, “that depends.” This is a personal question, the answer changes depending on what you would like to get out of your corset. Many of our customers love our steel boning for active waist training that cinches in your waist, but without exercise and a healthy diet, it will be a temporary fix. On the other hand, you could use a corset to help on your weight loss journey. A corset places external pressure on your stomach area, and if you have ever tried overeating with a corset on…you will know that it isn’t fun! A corset can definitely help if overeating is a problem for you. So if you are like me, who tends to snack all day at work, or at home when bored, a corset may help limit that and aid in weight loss. The only downside is that as you lose weight, you may need to size down in your corset, so the corset that cinched your waist in 3-4 inches a few months ago might actually be able to lace fully closed after you lose a few pounds! So again, its about what you are looking for. If you are on a budget and want to actively waist train, then maybe wait until you reach your goal weight then get into corseting. But if you would like an extra tool to help in losing weight (by helping you stick to smaller portion sizes) then corseting along the way would be perfect!
We hope this Q & A provides you with information about corsets as a tool in weight loss and waist training! Please let us know in the comments if there are any questions that you’d like to see answered in our Corset Q & A series.
