Do you have a question about steel boned corsets, waist training or corseting? The answer is probably somewhere in our Corset Q & A series.
Can You Sleep in Your Corset?
If you’re serious about waist training this blog is for YOU! Sometimes it may be hard to wear a corset as often as you want as you are running late out the door to work, or you just can’t seem to make a corset work with your chosen outfit. But what if I told you that it is possible to wear your corset for 8 hours everyday without worry about either of those issues? Well YOU CAN! Have you ever considered wearing your corset at night?! In the video above Cheri and Jennifer discuss wearing a corset while sleeping. A few years ago Cheri tried just that and wrote a blog about the experience of sleeping in her corset.
The most important thing she learned was that she was not able to lace herself as tightly when sleeping as she does during the day. Cheri suggests either loosening your corset an inch or so for sleeping, or, if you have corsets that you have used for waist training, use the last larger sized corset to wear at night for a few more inches for comfortable breathing room as wearing a corset laying down is a different feeling than being vertical. If you would like additional information or to see how Cheri’s two nights while wearing two different corsets went, check out her blog! Finally, the corset you chose is up to you and what feels the most comfortable. And remember that while sleeping in your corset is an option, you do not have to sleep in your corset to see desired results when waist training.
We hope this Q & A provides you with information to safely sleep in your corset. Please let us know in the comments if there are any questions that you’d like to see answered in our Corset Q & A series.
