Corset Q & A Episode 60: How Do You Put on a Waist Cincher?

Do you have a question about steel boned corsets, waist training or corseting? The answer is probably somewhere in our Corset Q & A series.

How Do You Put on a Waist Cincher?

They are known by a variety of names…waist cincher, waist trainer, shapewear, waist tamer…and the list goes on, but one thing they all have in common is that waist cinchers are NOT always a “cinch” to put on! If you’re new to the current trend of latex waist trainers, take heart. It DOES get easier every time you put it on. Check out Jasmine in the video above. She’s been wearing shapewear fairly regularly for several years and she makes putting on a waist cincher look easy!

Jasmine starts from the top of the cincher and works slowly down, making sure she gets every pin along the way. We know a lot of people like to wear the latex waist trainers to the gym, and sometimes by the time you get it on it feels like you’ve already gotten your workout! Don’t lose hope when you make it halfway down and your belly is poking out of the bottom! It will all squish in there. We’ve been there! And just know that with practice, the process will become easier and less stressful each time you wear it. Remember to breathe and take one pin at a time and before you know it you will have your waist cincher on in no time! For even more information about waist training be sure to check out our Waist Training 101, Everything You Need to Know About Waist Training page.

We hope this Q & A provides you with information about waist cinchers and how to put one on. Please let us know in the comments if there are any questions that you’d like to see answered in our Corset Q & A series.
